Launch of the Virtual Exhibition: Crimes Against Palestinian Male and Female Prisoners After 7 October
On the occasion of the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, Addameer launches this virtual exhibition to shed light on the situation of Palestinian prisoners and female prisoners inside the occupation’s prisons, and on the grave crimes that have escalated against them since 7 October.
Through these images, the exhibition documents aspects of the policies and practices targeting prisoners and female prisoners, including torture, ill-treatment, arbitrary detention, isolation, enforced disappearance, and the deprivation of basic rights, in blatant violation of the principles of international law. It also highlights the Israeli occupation’s attempts to silence Palestinian civil society organizations that work to document crimes and demand accountability for those who commit them.
This exhibition is not merely an archive of violations, it is a living testimony to the suffering of thousands of Palestinian men and women behind bars, and a message affirming that human dignity and rights do not lapse with time, and that impunity cannot be allowed to continue.
We invite you to visit the exhibition, engage with its content, and help amplify it widely, in honor of the victims, in pursuit of truth, and in support of efforts to ensure accountability for all those involved in these crimes, from direct perpetrators at the ground level to those at the highest political and military ranks who issued orders or provided cover.
